Today was a good day. I went to orientation and met several new people-- all were foreigners like me. Two girls, Sara from Germany and Maria from Spain, went to the towne centre with me and helped me buy a cell phone and get my Swiss paperwork completed-- their assistance was greatly appreciated.
It always amazes me just how global things are in Europe-- you have so many nationalities,
languages, and ethnicities. An interesting--frightening may be more apropos-- side to the great mix of people is the sign (pictured to the left) of the white sheep shown kicking the black sheep out of Switzerland. It is causing plenty of turmoil here. It is published and posted by the SVP, which is a very conservative political group in Switzerland. For whatever reasons the sign was posted, I think most people can agree that it is surely in bad taste.

I enjoyed reading the blog. Nice job putting it together and I like the name too. Will be anxious to see more pics and what about a pic of your room. Love, DAD
Pics of room coming soon...as soon as I clean up a bit :)
Hey man - am really enjoying the blog. Keep it up (in between the studying, jogging along the Alps and attending 'church').
By the way, maybe you are taking the political ad too literally? Could it really be saying that they should kick out annoying relatives, or difficult people in general? OK, probably not.
Anyway, have a great time. It will fly by quickly.
Hey Doug! It is great to hear from you. Hope the job is going well...did you get my package? I am so upset I think NBC took their primetime shows off of itunes so I'm going to have to live with no "Office."
