The actual town is very small. Just as with small towns in the US, the pace seems a little slower and people seem to be very friendly. We visited a castle, a cheese factory, and went on an amazing impromptu hike. I have never seen so much green in my life. The whole country side was a brilliant green. The views we saw were absolutely amazing and the pictures in no way capture the full experience. Nonetheless, enjoy the pics.
The trees are just starting to turn here. I did some manipulations to this one.
A view from the guard tower of the castle.
Although they didn't have any cheese heads for sale, they did have
absolutely amazing cheese!
In some ways the food here is very normal-- roasted meat, vegetables, and noodles etc. But the fact that I am eating reindeer(sorry, Rudolph) makes it a little strange. It was actually very good though. It was kind of a cross between beef and deer. I still didn't have enough courage to order the horse.

The mountain stream was COLD!!!
We got done with eating and the tours early so we just started walking and ran into a nice little stream. As we continued on the hike the views seemed to get better and better-- we got very lucky that our unguided walk turned out so great.
It was a long steep hike to here-- the same could be said for almost anywhere in Switzerland-- but well worth it.
