Dancing days are here......

School started Tuesday. I will be posting soon on my classes and the school in general...but all work and no play makes me a dull boy! So Wednesday night Emma, Seliz(Emma's roomate), and I went dancing at a place called Cult Club. It was an Xchange event. Xchange is an organization for exchange to students which organizes social events and trips. Also Xchange is the group in charge of teaming me up with Jessica(my Xchange partner described previously). For any student looking into doing an exchange in Lausanne, I couldn't recommend joining Xchange more.

.....Before we went dancing, Emma cooked a delicious meal and invited me over. She made chicken with a mushroom and onion cream sauce, pasta with Gruyere, and boiled eggs. The cream and the cheese--okay all dairy products-- that I have tried so far during my stay have been very fresh and tasty. I had no idea Emma was such a chef! She even told me she'd teach me how to make that meal, so we may have a future post on cooking with Emma.

We had a great time dancing and having a few beers at the club. The beer selection was thoroughly disappointing-- Heiniken only! The music for the most part was different from a US hip-hop dance club, but very fun to dance to. The music was much more techno influenced. It was amazing that the DJ even played the obligatory "YMCA"-- with a techno-beat, of course!

The metro train doesn't not run after midnight! Therefore, we had to walk back to our dorm(about a 40 minute walk). Here is a picture of Emma and Seliz asking some guys for directions.

Boy, you and Justin do dance exactly alike--with a drink in your hand.

Adam, I truly enjoyed reading about all of the Swiss adventures you've had so far. The pictures are fantastic, as well. It's wonderful that you're able to experience another culture. Enjoy every moment and keep blogging!

And here I was feeling all sorry for Adam... probably stuck there alone in his dorm room.

But better luck next time... hopefully you can find another club that serves Keystone.
